Our 2m3 Giant Nets of Semi-Seasoned Larch firewood contain the equivalent of 3 standard builders bags making it a great, cost effective way to receive a bulk load of firewood at an economical price.
Simply stack the wood in a ventilated wood store for a period of 8-12 weeks (with the great, dry weather we have had so far your logs should dry much quicker) and your firewood will be ready to burn when the moisture meter reads less than 20% across your pile.

Our semi-seasoned Larch logs are ready for air drying in a well-ventilated, covered woodstore. Under normal conditions, Larch will season to below 20% moisture in around 2 months during summer and up to 4 months in winter, depending on storage and airflow.
Please note: Larch is a naturally sparky wood, making it best suited for enclosed wood-burning stoves only.

At Firewood Express, we strive to deliver your firewood promptly and reliably across the whole of mainland UK, this includes deliveries, with no surcharge, to even the most remote of areas. The vast majority of deliveries will be completed on the date selected at checkout, however due to the nature of freight deliveries the target date you select is to be treated as a guide.
Standard Deliveries (Most Areas): The vast majority of orders are completed on your chosen target delivery date, however deliveries may occur the day before, or day after the target delivery date.
Remote & Rural Areas: Deliveries to rural or remote locations may vary, potentially arriving earlier or later than the target date. In some cases, delivery may take a few additional days due to logistical constraints. (remote areas include The Isle of Skye, The Highlands, IV, some PH & PA Postcodes amongst others).
Please note that deliveries are typically made to the kerbside. Ensure someone is available to receive the delivery and that the location is accessible for large vehicles. Deliveries must be made to an area of hardstanding and there must be sufficient access for a 18 tonne vehicle to attend at your your property.

Delivery arrived exactly when stated, and was well packaged on the pallet. Wood seems to be good quality although it is stacked for further drying art present. Size of cuts are regular and as requested. After looking around for a while, including local suppliers, this seems good value for money.
Saw a delivery a few weeks back to household nearby, he is pleased so I thought I would try some.
The wood came on the requested day. About 25 wheel barrows later it was stacked in the drying shed. Nice clean logs.
I normally buy hardwood and briquettes, but the prices asked are way more than 2 years ago, profiteering springs to mind.
So after a few months drying I shall be using this Larch mixed with briquettes. Next year will order more in early summer.

Logs arrived on due date, already looking quite dry but will leave them a few months before testing moisture content.
Length as ordered for our stove, will probably need to split some to make it more convenient for loading up.

I took a chance and bought the semi seasoned larch to finish drying in time for the colder months. I can honestly say I was very pleased with the load received in quality and quantity. After checking some pieces with a moisture meter I was surprised that some showed less than 20% moisture, so it all should be ready when the nights draw in and gets colder. A test of burning some of the driest pieces below 20% moisture level gave a good burn time and heat output, I didn’t find that it spat or left any residue in the burner. I would certainly recommend purchasing a load and likely I’ll be ordering more in the future.
Just had our latest delivery of semi seasoned larch. We’ve been buying this for several years now and have always been happy
with the quality. We have a large double door wood burner and love the fact that we can order 14” logs they are easy to stack and burn for a very long time.
We live on a hill and deliveries have always been a bit fraught, after explaining the problem to Angus I’m delighted that they have a new packing machine that packs the load as tight as a drum.
The delivery was spectacular, I think the driver was superman, he dragged the load into the best possible place, on our slopping drive for a pair of 70/81 year olds to load it into our wood shed. Never happened before.
Usual, excellent delivery from the pallet man. Even managed to get through when our road was being re-surfaced, what a man.
Wood itself was well proportioned, as usual and easily stocked away, ready for use.
