Our 2m3 Giant Nets of Semi-Seasoned firewood contain the equivalent of 3 standard builders bags! They are a cost effective way to receive a bulk load of firewood at a great price. Simply stack the wood in a ventilated wood store for a period of 8-12 weeks and your firewood will be ready to burn when the moisture meter reads less than 20%.

Our Giant Nets are packed full of quality semi-seasoned Larch firewood. There is the equivalent of 3 builder’s bags of Firewood in each Giant Net. Our Semi-Seasoned Larch is supplied for you to air dry in a well ventilated, covered woodstore until the wood has dried to under 20% moisture level. Generally it takes around 2 months in the summer and 4 months in the winter for Larch to dry to under 20% moisture level. Our Larch is suitable for enclosed burners only due to it’s tendency to spark.
A CHOICE OF LOG SIZES
Our most popular product by far is our 10″ logs. If you have a smaller fire we would recommend purchasing 8″ logs. For those of you with cavernous fires we recommend 12″ or 14″ logs!
Larch is the hardest of all softwoods which ensures a long, hot burn-time. We source almost all of our Larch less than 30 miles from our premises. Larch is our best selling firewood with many customers ordering time and time again due to it’s low price point and good burn-time. Larch is a sparky wood which is best suited to enclosed wood burning stoves.
Our deliveries are FREE OF CHARGE to any address on Mainland UK -including the Highlands & the Isle of Skye!
Simply select your target delivery date at checkout and our courier will do their very best to get your firewood to you on that date.
Your Firewood is delivered on an 18 tonne vehicle (about the size of a bin lorry) so please ensure your property has sufficient access.
The deliveries are made via pallet pump to the kerbside. We have found that many of the drivers are amenable to placing your order within your garden so long as the ground is flat and there are no obstructions but this is not to be expected.

I’ve had seasoned Larch before, and it’s great to burn, and lots of fun too as it pops and crackles.
Took the plunge and ordered semi-seasoned Larch a couple on months ago.
It’s already good to go having checked a few pieces with the moisture meter.

Angus and the team can’t do enough for the customers, I live on a bit of a hill and the load tends to shift about when off-loading so they always double wrap and tie the logs. The logs themselves are great and I really appreciate the opportunity to select the size that I want, I have a large Villager stove so it takes the bigger (14”) logs and they last a lot longer. The supplying of semi-seasoned is also a bonus, into the store in May/June and they’re ready for November and saving several welcome pounds into the bargain.
PS how come that bloke has been standing next to that pile of logs for four years now, check my orders. Can’t anyone find him something useful to do, apart from bragging that his is bigger than anyone else’s.
Good quality and well packaged logs and kindling which arrived on time. Left driver a note as was out when delivery of pallet occured saying please dont block drive. Obviously not read note as left load in the middle of the entrance to my drive resulting in me being called by my neighbour and having to return home and cancel my afternoon plans to spend a few hours moving the logs to my rear garden storage areas and clear the entrance to my home (sole access to my property & drive). Despite requesting SMALL log cuts to fit my small wood burner, many are cut VERY large / over sized. It is annoying to specify and pay for small logs and then receive a wide variety of sizes, many of which wont fit in my small log burner and so I will need to spnd a lot of time and effort making my log load compatible with my burner. will definitely make me think twice about the source of my logs going forwards.
Logs arrived early, well packaged and quite dry already, so should be just right for the cold weather. looking forward to lighting up.

I’ve been buying pallets of semi-seasoned logs from Firewood express for many years now. For the past two years we’ve even doubled up and had two pallets, one for my household and one for my parents.
Great quality logs, superbly packaged and conveniently delivered. To the later point, this year something went wrong with the split address delivery but the superbly helpful delivery driver not only went the extra mile (1.5miles!) he also managed to offload on a hill and help us maneuver the pallet of logs up a driveway gradient.

Delivered, quality logs 15% moisture so will let dry more in wood store, Good quality and packaging, delivery driver whinged they were over the weight for tail lift, not sure how true that was

We’re chuffed to bits to have found Firewood Express. Their prices are good, the wood’s good quality and exactly as described, and the delivery people deserve a medal for finding our place – in the middle of nowhere – and being so helpful. We’ll be buying all out firewood here from now on.
Delivery a day earlier than expected, wood is well sized and even though partially seasoned burns well. Second time I have ordered from Firewood express and from now on will be ordering larch as it burns very well. Living in the middle of Argyll forest, seems strange that I can only get Larch from the east coast, but hey ho it works! Only negative is that both loads had toppled resulting in double work. Next time will be buying in net bags, although I hate the plastic waste…..Firewood Express….can you come up with a better safer solution for delivery?

I was pleased with the price and quantity of my first order from Firewood Express and promptly placed a second order. The order includes an amount of bark, slivers and offcuts but there are also several bruisers in there. Not forgetting the pallet which will provide a lot of kindling.
If you want regular size logs you may need to order kiln dried wood but I shall be able to use all the wood in the order.
It is now up to me to store the wood so that it dries out during the next few months. Next time I would like to try Pine.

Just had our latest delivery of semi seasoned larch. We’ve been buying this for several years now and have always been happy
with the quality. We have a large double door wood burner and love the fact that we can order 14” logs they are easy to stack and burn for a very long time.
We live on a hill and deliveries have always been a bit fraught, after explaining the problem to Angus I’m delighted that they have a new packing machine that packs the load as tight as a drum.
The delivery was spectacular, I think the driver was superman, he dragged the load into the best possible place, on our slopping drive for a pair of 70/81 year olds to load it into our wood shed. Never happened before.
I took a chance and bought the semi seasoned larch to finish drying in time for the colder months. I can honestly say I was very pleased with the load received in quality and quantity. After checking some pieces with a moisture meter I was surprised that some showed less than 20% moisture, so it all should be ready when the nights draw in and gets colder. A test of burning some of the driest pieces below 20% moisture level gave a good burn time and heat output, I didn’t find that it spat or left any residue in the burner. I would certainly recommend purchasing a load and likely I’ll be ordering more in the future.

Saw a delivery a few weeks back to household nearby, he is pleased so I thought I would try some.
The wood came on the requested day. About 25 wheel barrows later it was stacked in the drying shed. Nice clean logs.
I normally buy hardwood and briquettes, but the prices asked are way more than 2 years ago, profiteering springs to mind.
So after a few months drying I shall be using this Larch mixed with briquettes. Next year will order more in early summer.

Delivery arrived exactly when stated, and was well packaged on the pallet. Wood seems to be good quality although it is stacked for further drying art present. Size of cuts are regular and as requested. After looking around for a while, including local suppliers, this seems good value for money.
