We have had another record breaking winter season, and it’s still going strong yet. We are delighted that our early season delivery problems have been ironed out for the most part.

Firewood Express are continuing to develop our customer base, supplying our well regarded kiln dried logs to homes and other firewood businesses across Scotland and the UK.

We have just had our systems re-audited to the Woodsure standards, and passed with no remedial issues identified.

Passing this standard indicates that our systems, to produce high quality, dry firewood, are robust.  This in turn means our products are the least environmentally damaging that they can be.

With the energy crisis that is currently facing us, we believe firewood still has a very valuable place in your energy mix.

Unfortunately, firewood production is not completely immune from this crisis as diesel, electricity and labour are unavoidably required in the process.

We are now looking forward to our Spring campaign, where we sell firewood at the lowest prices of the year for you to dry yourself at home (semi-seasoned larch). We have plenty of larch seasoning at our pre processing storage yard, enough for the whole summer already. We are however short of pine at the moment and we aren’t sure when we can get that back in stock.

A large number of people ask us for hardwood to dry themselves. This is not possible unfortunately for some practical and production reasons.
